Upcycled Cozy Cottage: StudioCity

Sera wanted to convert a storage shed in her backyard to a bedroom.

She had a garage full of leftover construction materials, vintage furniture & objects, salvaged appliances, textiles, etc.

There was also an old wooden fence that needed to be taken down. We decided to repurpose it for a wall. We took it apart, cleaned, sanded and finished the fence panels then installed it to create a wall.

Sera wanted her storage shed converted to a bedroom. She had various materials left over from other construction projects

Sera wanted her back yard storage shed into a bedroom. She wanted as much recycled materials used as possible. She had various left over materials from other construction projects & a room full of salvaged furniture & appliances, thrift store finds and vintage & antique pieces. We were able to finish the room entirely with the recycled materials that Sera already had.

Sera wanted to take down and replace her old wooden fencing. We took apart the fence, cleaning, trimming & sanding each plank.

Sera had a pair of heirloom quilts which we installed to create two fo the walls.

She also had a larger window, than the one existing, that had been saved from when she had done a remodel on the house. It was in very good condition so we removed the smaller window and installed the bigger one.

Pieces of corrugated metal, vintage wooden crates, a repurposed cabinet & a salvaged mini fridge make up this wall of the room.
